Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications & Skills

In addition, will also be responsible for promoting the LEPRA brand and raising awareness about the organisation in the public, through social media. Roles & Responsibilities:

1.Support in Developing, implementing and monitor a fundraising strategy

•          Ensure that fundraising activities are in line with the LERPA’s goals;

•          Develop approaches to raise funds for different projects in consultation with State Coordinators

•          Approach and raise funds from individuals, companies, events, and Government of India (GoI)

             within India;

•          Coordinate and update to Head Programmes on the fundraising;

•          Coordinate with other stakeholders in fundraising initiatives;

•          Raise awareness of the LEPRA and its work at state and national levels;

2. Implement fundraising initiatives to raise resources from individuals, companies, events, and Government of India (GoI):

•         Plan appropriate fundraising activities in line with the overall strategy to tap funds from identified    

           sources;

•        Identify potential donors – trusts, individuals, corporates, companies and events – and find a match with the LEPRA’s vision and activities;

•        Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising;

•        Liaise with agencies that facilitate fundraising initiatives such as printers, mailing agents, data providers, volunteers and others;

 3. Support to build and enhance a constituency of well-wishers and supporters:

•        Develop, manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information;

•        Support in developing a strategy for communicating with different kinds of donors; communicating this to states teams

•        Ensure timely, appropriate and quality communication to all donors;

•        Monitor and evaluate donor communications on a regular basis;

•        Grow one-time donors into repeat donors, and into long-term supporters by constantly finding ways to increase their engagement with the GBLT’s work.

4. Manage a fundraising and communication team

•        Plan staff requirement for implementing the approved fundraising strategy;

•        Recruit, train personnel and assign roles and tasks to team members;

•        Set annual targets and help each team member develop personal work plans towards these targets;

•          Provide motivation and guidance to the team;

•          Identify training needs of each person, and ensure training;

•          Have at least one meeting with programme to review FR activities & synchronizing with them

•          Ensure annual evaluations for team members.

5. Coordinate with team for planning and execution of the fundraising strategy

•          Assist the State Coordinators in exchanging information on various fundraising techniques.

•          Conducting research on fundraising opportunities.

•          Writing fundraising proposals and submitting these to CSR

•          Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders.

•          Develop, manage and maintain positive relationships with existing and new donors in order to  

             maximize fundraising potentials and support retention.

•          Identify and implement alternative and innovative fundraising possibilities

•          Analyze and improve the donor communications cycle for regular giving

•          Perform analysis to improve processes.

Any other assignments as per the need.

 QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

 Master’s degree in Social work/Marketing/ Management or relevant qualifications with 4 to 5 years’ experience in a competitive market environment, during which the individual has managed significant CSR.

  1. Strong analytical and lateral thinking ability with an understanding of systems of CSR management
  2. Strong negotiation and influencing skills with ability to present LEPRA to internal and external audiences.
  3. Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English

Brief about Project: Lepra Society Implementing the GC 7 HIV intervention project in Telangana & AP. Funded by GFATM and SAATHII as a principal Recipient and Lepra Society is sub recipient in Telangana and AP. Under GC-7 HIV grant Prison & OCS project implementing with support of State AIDS Control Society (SACS) across the state covering Prisons, Shakthi Sadan Homes, Juvenile Homes and DDAC.

Successful execution of HIV&STI Screening and Awareness campaigns in partnership with the State Prison Department is significantly raising awareness and testing among 38 prisons and 31 OCS (Shakthi Sadns, Juvenile Home and DDAC) populations in the state. Our collaborative efforts aim to enhance access to crucial testing and treatment services for HIV, TB, STI, and Viral Hepatitis among the incarcerated populations in all Prisons and OCS. Job Description:

The Project Coordinator (PC) is field-level staff at the district level who will report to the SPM-P&OCS. Each PC will be responsible for all the P&OCS in their districts. The PC will have the following responsibilities

  1. Sensitize prisons and OCS officials about the inmates’ health rights and the project services
  2. Implement project activities and achieve the project targets in their respective P&OCS
  3. Select and train Prison Peer Volunteers (PPV), so that they are able to educate and motivate prison inmates to access project services, and also able to identify inmates with high-risk behavior/vulnerabilities
  4. Coordinate with district health functionaries and other stakeholders to ensure their support in providing HIV, TB, STI, HCV, and HBV testing and treatment services to the inmates.
  5. Organize HIV, TB, STI, and HCV screening camps in coordination with local stakeholders (SA-ICTCs, DTO, DSRC, and NVHCP officials)
  6. Coordinate with P&OCS and district health authorities towards ensuring all inmates diagnosed with HIV, HCV, HBV, TB, and STI are initiated on treatment
  7. Ensure the TB-positive inmates are notified in the Nikshay Portal
  8. Coordinate with the PPVs towards motivating the HIV+ inmates to give consent to visit their families
  9. Coordinate with CLH to ensure home visits for motivating spouse and family members of HIV+ inmates to – (a) access HIV testing and treatment services, and (b) social protection services
  10. Coordinate with CLH to ensure all released HIV+ inmates are adhering to treatment
  11. Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports from the P&OCS to DISHA/DTO
  12. Any other work assigned by the immediate supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL-SET

1.      Graduate with computer skills or Twelfth pass with minimum two years of experience of working on HIV projects as a field staff (experience of working on prison interventions / GFATM projects, or TI/LWS projects will be an added advantage). The qualification criteria will be relaxed for suitably experienced candidates living with HIV and/or TB, and individuals belonging to key populations or other vulnerable groups.

2.      Written and oral communication skills in English and regional language of the state.

3.      Counselling and outreach and documentation skills

 Key responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of project activities at the block level under the guidance of the District Project Manager (DPM)
  • Conduct the situational assessment activities during project initiation and update them on a periodic basis
  • Mapping of public and private health facilities, and informal practitioners in the district that provide pediatric services, and engage them through technical support activities
  • Facilitate the establishment of Hub sites in Public & Private identified facilities and ensure the proper functioning of the same
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and departments associated with children including government departments of school education, women and child welfare, RBSK/RKSK, health and nutrition etc. for increasing access to pediatric TB services
  • Build rapport and advocacy at the taluk /block level with the officials of Department of Health and Family Welfare, Women and Child Development, RBSK/RKSK and other relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate and ensure for the sample transportation for all the identified persons with Presumptive TB in the Hub Sites
  • Conduct capacity building and sensitization of frontline healthcare providers and TB champions
  • Coordinate with NTEP for contact tracing, arranging camps, and participating in ACF activities
  • Engage the TB Champions for raising community awareness and mobilization, addressing stigma and follow-up of the adherence tracking and documenting their contributions.
  • Follow a robust tracking mechanism of the diagnosed TB cases in the hub sites for their diagnosis, treatment adherence and ensure its completion successfully.
  • Maintain records, collect data, and compile program activity information, while also attending NTEP and health meetings at both block and district levels
  • Document the progress of performance indicators outlined in the project and represent them in various community and block forums
  • Regular field visits to monitor and support project activities at the community with ASHA, AWW, at the primary level with AAM and PHC, and secondary/tertiary-level healthcare facilities to understand the good practices and gaps in pediatric TB service provision
  • Conduct visits to private sector pediatric facilities, either separately or joint visits with PPSA towards saturating their coverage and increasing the private sector pediatric TB reporting
  • Engage private sector stakeholders including professional medical associations
  • DPC will cover the neighboring two districts in a phased manner in Years 2 and 3 to saturate the public and private sector activities in the neighboring districts. The assigning of the neighboring districts will be decided in consultation with State TB Office
  • Support the district program manager in effective program implementation
  • Undertake any other activities and responsibilities as reasonably required by the project and organization

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Postgraduate/Graduate in Social Work/Social Science/public health/management with a minimum 3-4 years of experience of implementing health related programs at the district level, preferably in TB.
  • Understanding of the TB or any public health program, public health systems, and private health sector functioning is essential
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders from multiple sectors of government, private health care providers, civil society and communities at district level
  • Familiarity with experience using excel and using project data in program management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and working knowledge of regional language
  • Willingness to be based in district headquarters, and frequent travel to project geographies and to state headquarters for trainings and meetings
  • Basic knowledge & practice of computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office (Excel/Word & PowerPoint)

Key Responsibilities

·         Collaborate with the District ACF Coordinator (DAC) to develop a weekly and monthly schedule for organizing hand-held CXR camps at facilities and within the community.

·         Support the District ACF Coordinator for collection of data on mapping the Key Vulnerable Populations, identify program deliverable gaps and issues from the field.

·         Tracking the status of supply of consumables diagnostics and drugs under the project and inform DAC towards time to time for procurement plans

·         Support the DAC in facilitating microplanning and training for the health staff including ASHA, and AWW at the district and block level on the ACF campaigns

·         Leverage the Community Engagement activities, door-to-door visits, mobile clinics, and health camps for actively identifying the individuals with TB symptoms /camps for ACF at Districts level conducted by different health departments like AAM (NHM)/WCD, RBSK/RKSK and NTEP

·         Participate in the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP)’s Routine ACF Activities

·         Undertake district wide travel to conduct CXR for presumptive TB cases and share those with abnormal CXR reports for further evaluation

·         Support the District ACF Coordinator in identifying & developing MoUs with the Private Labs for CXR Services wherever required

·         Maintain regular communication with all facilities in both Private and Public, where the people with abnormal CXR were referred for sample collection and testing in NAAT/ other molecular tests

·         Provide support in notifying positive TB cases identified

·         Ensure documentation and data management of all the activities performed in the district

·         Participate in the Project Review Meetings conducted in the district and state level, and by NTEP

·         Undertake any other activities and responsibilities as reasonably required by the project and organization

Qualifications and Skills:

Any degree with a diploma/graduation in radiography or paramedical staff who has the working knowledge of operating a handheld X-ray unit. with 2-3 years of work experience.

Skills:

•      Ability to liaison & engage with stakeholders from multiple sectors of government, private health care providers, civil society and communities at state levels

•      Computer skills and working knowledge in MS Office

•      Good oral and written communication skills in English and regional language

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Postgraduate in Social Work/Social Science/public health/MBA with a minimum 5 years of experience of implementing health related programs at the district level, preferably in TB.
  • Understanding of the TB or any public health program, public health systems, and private health sector functioning is essential
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders from multiple sectors of government, private health care providers, civil society and communities at district level
  • Familiarity with experience using excel and using project data in program management

About the Project:   Brief about Project: The SHAKTHI (Sustainable Health Approaches for Key Tribal Communities Health Interventions) Project will be implemented in the Bakawand block, Bastar district, Chhattisgarh, which has a population of approximately 175,000 spread across 114 villages and 93 Gram Panchayats. The region is predominantly inhabited by Scheduled Tribes,  Bakawand has a leprosy prevalence rate of 6.28 per 10,000 population, which is three times higher than the national average, with an estimated 112 active leprosy cases. The National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) has reported 36  cases of lymphedema and 20 hydrocele cases, 148 cases of malaria, and 166 new tuberculosis (TB) cases, JE, and SCD  in the block. Additionally, scabies affects nearly 50% of the population, indicating a high burden of skin-related neglected tropical diseases. These gaps in healthcare staffing, coupled with the high burden of infectious diseases, underscore the urgent need for a strengthened community-based intervention to improve screening, early detection, and treatment access. This Project is supported by the Azim Premji Foundation for three years.

The Community Health Supervisor (CHS)The Supervisor will serve as a key link between the community health workers and the staff nurse. Stationed at the PHC level, the Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring Community Health Workers (CHWs), coordinating with local governance bodies, and supporting the effective implementation of integrated health promotion and disease prevention interventions.

About the Project:  Surgical Access & Management for Rehabilitation, Improvement of Disability & Dignity of Hydrocele-affected Individuals (SAMRIDDHI) project aims to reduce disability and improve the quality of life of 15,000 individuals affected by hydrocele in Samastipur, Bihar, through community-based identification, access to safe hydrocelectomy, rehabilitation, and strengthened health systems.

We seek a qualified Lab Technician position based at Samastipur District, Bihar

The position is for immediate employment

Key Responsibilities:

·         Laboratory Procedures

·         Perform Giemsa staining of blood smears.

·         Conduct microscopic examination for detection of microfilaria.

·         Equipment & Biosafety

·         Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.

·         Ensure strict adherence to biosafety and infection control protocols.

·         Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and reliability of results.

·         Documentation & Reporting

·         Record laboratory findings systematically and maintain patient test records.

·         Prepare and submit timely reports to the Project Officer and relevant stakeholders.

·         Support data management for project monitoring and evaluation.

·         Operational Support

·         Assist in training sessions related to laboratory practices.

·         Provide technical support during field sample collection and processing.

·         Contribute to smooth day-to-day functioning of the project laboratory.

·         Key Competencies

·         Strong technical skills in microscopy and staining techniques.

·         Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and quality assurance.

·         Good documentation and reporting abilities.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Experience:

·         12th in Science Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT/DMLT) with relevant

 field experience.

·         3 years of working experience laboratory work, preferably in public health or related field would be given preference.

Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- (Gross) per month
